We Arrived Safely in Odessa Ukraine

We arrived to the Chicago airport around 1:30 on Monday afternoon. It took us about one hour to get checked in and go through security which left us just a little bit of time to have the kids run around.

While we waited there was a tram driving by every few minutes that the kids were pretty excited about. Will was SO excited to ride on the airplane! This made the airplane ride much more enjoyable!!

Our airplane had just been newly renovated so we had brand new seats. It was awesome.

Our niece Kate came with us this year to help with the kiddos!
Here is Will enjoying his breakfast sandwich, tot turkey and cheese with tomatoes. Not sure where all of his toppings went....

Thanks for all of your prayers for safe travel! Over all the kids did good. Will didn't sleep very much but who can blame him? Elisabeth slept a little bit off and on. She came waking up and making this crazy squawk noise! I'm sure the people around us were really excited to be next to the cranky baby. This year we brought a car seat for Elisabeth. This was a life saver!! She is quite the wiggler! Thanks for letting us borrow the car seat Brittany!

This morning we all woke up a lot later than we expected. John, Elisabeth and I were awake around 8:00 and Will slept passed 9:00, even with us making noise. We were all wide awake between 2:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. but we managed to fall back asleep. Needless to say it felt nice to sleep in a real bed.

We walked around the city for a little bit today and grabbed some lunch. The kids are now napping. Today around 1:00 p.m. John's parents will arrive in from St. Petersburg. It will be nice to see them for a few days before they head over to Latvia.

Our team (Lord willing) will all arrive tomorrow afternoon. We are really looking forward to camp this year and the great team we will have!
