Hello Albuquerque

We arrived safely back in Albuquerque yesterday afternoon.

The kids were quite restless the flight from Chicago to Albuquerque and definitely ready to be done with traveling and airplanes. Who blames them? I don't want to see an airplane or an airport for a while either! :)

We stopped to pick up Chipotle on the way home! Boy was it nice to eat some beans and salsa! We got ourselves fully unpacked while the kids were napping yesterday and then in order to keep ourselves awake we went to the grocery store and walk around Costco.

It is nice to be back home and feel the comfort of our own bed. It seems so crazy to us to think we just traveled across the world! Our time away went by so quickly!

We plan on taking today and tomorrow to just focus on spending time with our kids before we get back into the swing of life this next week. We're not sure if we will be at church on Sunday but we definitely will next week. Looking forward to seeing many of your faces!

Safe Arrival In Chicago

Hello all!
Will went to help buy lunch before we left for the bus stop
We have safely landed in Chicago! Today was the shortest and smoothest international travel day we have ever had! We only had 12 hours of travel! It was such a blessing! Thanks for your prayers for safe and uneventful travel!

After being awake for nearly 15 hours Will was finally ready to take a nap.
We are staying with Joe and Becky for a few days before we head back home. Joe is going to make us his homemade chili for dinner tomorrow night! It will be nice to spend a few days with them before we head back home.

See you soon New Mexico!

Moberly's on a personal note

We have now wrapped up our leading Bible camps overseas this summer. We sent our team off in a taxi at 3:45 a.m. this morning! They will all have almost 24 hours of travel to do in order to get home. Pray for safe travels for them.

Our kids behavior definitely took a twist last week. It was almost as if they woke up one morning and things were totally different. Thank you for all of your prayers and for those of you who took time to write us e-mails with encouragement! You are treasured and appreciated more than you know!

We will definitely be returning home this summer TIRED! This year our leading teams and travel was a whirl wind and much more exhausting than expected. Not exhausting in a bad way, just in the sense of a lot to take care of!

We stayed in Budapest one day longer than the team to be able to gather ourselves and get our kids ready for the big day of travel. We spent some time with John's parents this morning and walked around for a little while. It has been nice to just do nothing but with the anticipation of crossing the ocean tomorrow there is a part that takes away from the relaxation, ha ha.

We will leave Budapest at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow and fly to Munich. We have a 1 hour lay over and will then fly to Chicago which is a 9 hour flight. We will stay in Chicago for a few days which is where we will drop our Niece off.

We have enjoyed being overseas again this summer and have truly learned many new things that we hope to share with you as soon as we can gather our thoughts and process what we have seen, heard and been a part of!

We are so grateful and thankful for the MANY of you who have faithfully financially supported us for the last 5 years of traveling for the Bible Camps. God has used your obedience to support us in MANY MANY MANY ways. We could never fully express or fully show how your enabling us to come as short term missionaries has produced fruit in the lives of hundreds of people through out Europe!!

We are equally thankful for those of you who have faithfully prayed for us. With out your prayers how can we bear fruit? How can we fight the good fight and stay strong till the end with out you? We can't, and for that we tip our hats to you!

We will be sharing at church on Sunday August 4th and we will have a night where we invite people to come listen to us for a longer period of time sometime in August. We will share more as that date gets closer!

grace and peace to you,
John, Nichole, Will and Elisabeth

Final Days In Hungary

Friday we finished our last day of camp! It was sad to say goodbye to all of the friends we made but we look forward to the possibility of coming back again next year. This week has proved to be a tiring week of loving and serving each other and our students. Teaching is not for the faint of heart and working with a translator definitely adds in some complexity. We are so thankful to our translators and school workers for working so hard and dedicating their time to help us!
To end the day on Friday each class presented a drama. This is a great opportunity for the children to show off their English skills. The English skills at this school are amazing! These students speak so well! Our Hungarian coworkers surprised us with bringing an ice cream truck to the school on Friday after lunch!
After camp on Friday we headed out of Oroshaza by train back to Budapest. We arrived around 8 PM and were pretty tired! Our week has been so busy with a small amount of free time. Saturday morning we had team debriefing in the morning and spent the rest of the day strolling around town, sightseeing, finishing up some souvenir shopping and getting rested up for the big day of travel ahead.
We sent the team off in a taxi at 3:45 a.m. this morning! Most people were flying to Frankfurt together and then going separate ways from there!

We really enjoyed serving side by side with each of our team members. This has been a great group of people to serve with! Through the speed bumps and fatigue people stayed positive and flexible. It has been a joy to see people grow through this mission trip and we wouldn’t be surprised if some of them decide to come back again.

Praise God For:
A great week at camp!
A team that worked so well together!
Wonderful Hungarian hosts!

Please Pray For:
The seeds that were planted in the hearts of the children.
For the relationships made with our translators and Hungarian Coworkers

Hungary-Day 4 of Camp

Hello again from Hungary! Things have been going well this week! By Wednesday or Thursday everyone finds their niche for what works best for their class and this really helps with students feeling more comfortable and being courageous to speak English.
HEBC Team 2013

So what have we been up to? Tuesday evening some of the team went to the Hungarian Bath House. This is a place where natural warm water springs up from the ground and it has been harnessed into a pool. Wednesday evening we went out for pizza and celebrated Lin’s Birthday! Today after school we stayed late to have a cultural exchange celebration with our students. We ate coke floats and Reese’s cups and the Hungarians sang a folk song for us and taught us some great games!

We have discovered that Will really likes kicking the soccer ball!!

We have had a lot of positive feedback from the team about their students, classes and experience. Many of the students are really excited to be in the class and have been having a great time.

Bill, Sally, John, Nichole and Scott (EEMN Missionary) had a meeting with the school headmistress, head English teachers and school staff to discuss the possibility of doing another camp next year. The school staff are very pleased and excited about us being here this year and are interested in the possibility of having another camp!

Today is our last day of camp which can be bittersweet. It is sad to leave out students, we have had such a great time! Yet, we look forward to returning to those at home who we love and look forward to God using us in our own church and community!
Thank you for your prayers and support through our week!

Team Member Testimony:

Question: “What is something new that God has shown you?”

“God has given me a deeper clearer appreciation of the importance of the cultural and language exchange. Through the powerful witness of the younger missionaries in our group and the level of Biblical understanding of the students, I am greatly encouraged.” –Lin

“ I have learned that the Red Sea doesn’t have to part for me to know and understand what God wants me to do. If I seek Him in His Word and in prayer, especially in times of worry and stress, then He will lead me-or at least point me in the right direction.” –Diana

Craft Time with Diana!
