Dear Friends and
Family,
Hello from Odessa
Ukraine from the Ukrainian English Bible Camp Team 2013! Just a short note to
let you know that we all made it here safely. However, we did have some team
members who lost luggage. Matt Phillips’ guitar was somehow left in the United
States by the airline because it was not tagged properly. Lila Brehm’s luggage
did not make it to Odessa either. We are in the process of tracking everything
down. We are hoping to get everything sorted out by this weekend!
After all of the team
was assembled together they took some time to get cleaned up and then we went
out for a walk. We ate dinner at a Ukrainian Cafeteria. Then we all went to the
grocery store to buy water and some health and beauty essentials.
We are staying
overnight at the German Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ukraine which is right
in the middle of Odessa. We will be staying here Thursday and Friday night. We will
spend most of Friday and some of Saturday morning doing orientation.
Thank you for all of
the prayer that made the way for our safe arrival. Our last team member, Graig
Kveen will arrive on Saturday afternoon. Pray for the safe arrival of him and
all of his luggage. After he arrives we will head out to the village of
Petrodolina where our camp will take place.
