Ahead of Schedule

Here we are wrapping up the last of packing. We are definitely ahead of schedule this year! It seems like it gets a little bit easier each year, what a relief! We fly out of Albuquerque on Saturday afternoon. Hopefully being ahead of schedule will give us an absolutely free day on Friday!

This year we needed to raise $6,000. We raised every penny that was needed to pay for our plane tickets and trip cost. What an amazing testimony to God's faithfulness. Thank you to everyone who has donated money, items for us to sell, helping with pancake breakfast and donating at the pancake breakfast! We are so thankful for your support!

Over the years God has always been so faithful to provide everything we need to go on these mission trips. Even the very small, specific things needed. We have never gone without what we needed and we freely admit that is nothing that we have done, it is all the Lord. I must admit, I was really nervous about raising evening 3/4 of the money this year. God humbled me and reminded me that if I am following Him, fulfilling His plan, that I just need to be willing to follow and He will do the rest. 

I am very excited to go back to Ukraine this year. Pushing aside the discomforts of the American life, I know that there are blessings to be found over there with my Ukrainian people. My prayer this year is to be able to dig deeper into a few relationships and to have an open heart in whatever God may want to show me.

As a mama, taking her wee ones overseas I get so many comments about taking them. Some comments are really encouraging and others are a bit discouraging. People always have opinions. We are glad to put our trust in the Lord, knowing that God is always faithful in other areas of our life so why would He not be faithful in the area of taking our kids with us overseas?

We have said this so many times but will say it again. We have seen the value and importance of going together as a family to a culture that does not see how a Christian mom and dad function with their children. We KNOW that God is using us in some way, even if it small to speak on His behalf for the family unit. Please pray for us to be ready for however He may use us this summer and for the seeds that will be planted.

We are thankful for the many of you who faithfully pray for us, follow our blog and are genuinely interested. Those of you who take time to contact us while we are away and sit down with us when we get home, you are treasured and we know that you love us. We love you too.
